Welcome to TestaDrive. By placing a reservation, submitting a deposit, or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Service Overview

TestaDrive offers short-term electric vehicle (EV) experiences using Tesla vehicles for personal use, lifestyle evaluation, or temporary transport. This includes 3-day test trials and short-term loan options.

Booking & Deposit

A £50 refundable deposit is required to reserve your place in our early access programme.

This deposit does not guarantee availability on specific dates but gives you early access when we launch in your area.

Deposits are fully refundable if you cancel before confirming your booking.

Eligibility

To participate in a TestaDrive experience, you must:

  • Be at least 25 years old
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence (with minimum 2 years' experience)
  • Have no major driving convictions or bans in the past 5 years
  • Provide a valid form of temporary insurance that covers use of a Tesla Model 3 or Y during your experience (unless we provide coverage)

We reserve the right to verify eligibility and deny access if driving or insurance criteria are not met.

Vehicle Use & Responsibility

Vehicles are provided with 150 miles included for 3-day experiences.
Additional mileage is charged at £0.25 per mile.

You are responsible for any damage, fines, tolls, or violations that occur during the period of use.

Charging costs are your responsibility unless otherwise stated.

Vehicles will be delivered with sufficient charge accounting for our travel to your location. You are expected to return the vehicle with at least 30% battery, allowing for safe return transport.

Insurance Requirements

Currently, TestaDrive does not provide insurance by default. You must:

  • Secure short-term insurance covering the duration of your experience
  • Provide proof of cover before the handover
  • Agree to your insurer's policy terms and excesses

We can suggest known Tesla-compatible insurers (e.g. Zixty), but insurance is a separate agreement between you and your chosen provider.

Vehicle Return

Vehicles must be returned clean, undamaged, and with a minimum 30% battery.

Any significant damage, excessive wear, or missing items may incur charges.

Late returns without prior notice may result in additional fees.

Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your confirmed experience will receive a full refund.

If TestaDrive cancels or delays a booking due to vehicle availability, weather, or safety concerns, you will be notified and refunded in full.

Deposits will not be refunded after a booking has been confirmed and a vehicle allocated.

Liability

TestaDrive is not liable for:

  • Delays, loss of use, or indirect costs due to vehicle issues or third-party services
  • Insurance claim disputes or denials
  • Any driving offence or misuse of the vehicle during your experience

You are fully responsible for operating the vehicle safely and in accordance with UK road laws and Tesla guidelines.

Data & Privacy

We collect minimal data for booking management, driver eligibility verification, and service improvement. All personal information is stored securely and not shared without your consent. See our full Privacy Policy for more.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. All changes will be posted on this page with the revision date. Continued use of the service implies acceptance of the latest version.
